The director, John Avildsen, is a serious and good director; his credits include " Rocky ," "Joe," "Save the Tiger" and " Neighbors ." It is impossible to believe this is the movie he wanted to make. Maybe a clue to what went wrong can be found in the ads. They play up the sex angle and misrepresent the movie.

A lonely school teacher (Warren) goes to a strip joint called Heaven and is shocked to discover a student (Atkins) she has just flunked is masquerading as the main attraction. Leslie Ann Warren is great, and Christopher Atkins is likeable in this stylish film. This is a pretty good film, but could have been great.
