Tchao Pantin, also known as So Long, Stooge, is a 1983 French film directed by Claude Berri and starring Coluche. It is based on a novel by Alain Page and tells the story of a lonely gas station attendant who seeks revenge for his friend's murder.
The title "Tchao, Pantin" became a very well-known expression in France to define a comedian's spectacular dramatic breakthrough, in reference to Coluche who only starred in comedies prior to the film and earned the César for his performance.

Overview. In the 18th Arrondissement of Paris, Lambert, an aloof garage manager working the night shift at a petrol station spends his time drinking on the job, content in his own company.
