Following this is a fight scene where all the Forbidden City Cops, with the exception of Fat, are ambushed and destroyed in the woods. This is a great scene full of action and humor. Up until THIS POINT the movie is great! It strikes a good balance between believability and random humor.

Film Review: Forbidden City Cop (1996) by Stephen Chow and Vincent Kok. This is a film to be treated as a full on pantomine. For the uninitiated, Stephen Chow comedies on the surface can be a tad confusing with a constant stream of cultural references and wordplay that is lost on non Cantonese speakers.
