User Reviews. Convincing performances by Perry and Fox prevent Alex Cross from being completely unwatchable. It's not hard to figure out what's wrong with this movie. Skeptics may think Tyler Perry was a bad choice to fill in a young Morgan Freeman's shoes, but he was fine in the role.
