Missak Manouchian (Simon Abkarian) was born in Armenia but immigrated to France before the start of World War II. Along with his wife, Mélinée (Virginie Ledoyen), Missak is deeply opposed to the Nazi occupation forces. He forms a ragtag group of immigrant rebel fighters, which includes a sniper (Robinson Stévenin) and a bomb-making expert (Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet), and begins hunting down German officers.
