Women from Headquarters is a 1950 American crime film directed by George Blair and starring Virginia Huston, Barbra Fuller and Frances Charles. The screenplay concerns an ex-Army nurse who retrains as police officer with the LAPD. The film's sets were designed by the art director James W. Sullivan.
As the man who observes the steady stream of women in and out of Lemmon's apartment and the one who saves Shirley MacLaine from a drug overdose, Kruschen offered a wonderful performance - viewing his neighbor's proceedings with a jaundiced eye, yet never letting his disdain overtake his humor and humanity.

Later, Joe and bartender Sam Chase are charged with murder. Soon, Capt.
