Jurors perform a vital role in the American system of justice. The protection of our rights and liberties is achieved primarily through the teamwork of our system of judge and jury working together in a common effort. Jury service is a very important duty of citizenship and without you, the juror, our system of trial by jury would not exist.
The Court has fourteen General Division judges Judges preside over civil, criminal, and traffic cases and conduct both jury and non-jury trials.
A trial jury is also called a Petit Jury. This is a group of people selected by the judge and attorneys who determine any question or issue of fact in a civil or criminal trial according to law and the evidence introduced at the trial.

The Court receives approximately 18,000 jury demands each year, resulting in 80-120 potential jury trials per day. However, the majority of those cases will be resolved through other means. There are currently fifteen (15) judges and (6) magistrates on the bench.
