While in Tokyo for a martial arts tournament, Scooby (Frank Welker), Shaggy (Casey Kasem) and the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang (Mindy Cohn, Grey DeLisle), are confronted by the Black Samurai (Kevin Michael Richardson), an evil spirit who was vanquished in ancient Japan but has been mysteriously resurrected.
