   • The Danish Girl is, in the end, a beautiful, frustratingly opaque love story that provides only a surface view of Elbe's journey. For me, the love story was not engaging enough to make the movie interesting. It was so shallow. The Danish Girl is a Thomas Kinkade painting set into motion - supremely crafted, but absent of substance.
