The Pizza Triangle is a 1970 Italian comedy film directed by Ettore Scola and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Monica Vitti and Giancarlo Giannini. It tells the story of a florist who gets involved in a love triangle with a construction worker and a pizza cook.
They live happily together until Oreste introduces to Adelaide his friend Nello, a baker in a restaurant. Adelaide takes up with the gallant pizza-maker, eventually leaving Oreste when he finds out. Oreste starts a street brawl over the matter and accidentally causes Adelaide to be hospitalized.
Known both as A DRAMA OF JEALOUSY and THE PIZZA TRIANGLE, it is an engrossing farce about a love triangle in modern Rome. Bricklayer Marcello Mastroianni meets flower-seller Monica Vitti at a political demonstration.
