Martin. (1977 film) Martin (also known internationally as Wampyr) is a 1977 [2] American horror film written and directed by George A. Romero, and starring John Amplas. Its plot follows a troubled young man who believes himself to be a vampire. [3] Shot in 1976, Martin was Romero's fifth feature film and followed The Crazies (1973).

Martin (John Amplas), a young man who looks around 20-years-old, boards a train in Indianapolis, Indiana for New York. At night, he breaks into a sleeping car and sedates a woman with a syringe full of narcotics. She struggles, but he tells her not to struggle or be upset because she won't feel pain.
