  2. Jun 25, 2024 · The meaning of SCENE-STEALER is an actor who attracts attention when another is intended to be the center of attention.

    • Keivonn Woodard & Lamar Johnson, The Last of Us. Few brotherly pairings are more devastating than The Last of Us’ Sam and Henry. Fate plays an interesting role in HBO’s The Last of Us: As we learn throughout the heart-breaking series, it’s very rarely kind.
    • Ray Stevenson, Ahsoka. Baylan Skoll wasn’t the ideal role, but the late, great Ray Stevenson made a meal of it all the same. Few Star Wars projects have produced as checkered an output as Ahsoka.
    • David Krumholtz, Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was a film packed with scene-stealers, but David Krumholtz stood out as one of the best. When Cillian Murphy’s J. Robert Oppenheimer first encounters Isidor Isaac Rabi (David Krumholtz), it’s instantly clear he’s made a friend for life — even if Oppie himself takes advantage of that notion later.
    • Daniel Kaluuya, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. In a sea of many Spider-People, Daniel Kaluuya’s Spider-Punk turned plenty of heads. • Jack Purvis as Wally in “Time Bandits” (1981) This was the easiest and hardest decision on the entire list. Sure, “Time Bandits” would be number one as the movie, but which character to pick?
    • Verne Troyer as Mini-Me in “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” (1999) Everyone reading this list knew Verne’s name was coming eventually. He might also be one of the most famous midget actors of all time, even more famous than Tattoo (Herve Villechaize) from Fantasy Island.
    • Jordan Prentice as Jimmy in “In Bruges” (2008) OK, yes, I am aware that Jordan did have the unfortunate luck of playing the title character in “Howard the Duck,” but doesn’t time heal all wounds?
    • Tony Cox as Marcus in “Bad Santa” (2003) The second Christmas movie, (that’s right I said Christmas, not “holiday”) on the list and also from 2003- good year for tiny actors.
  3. Dec 18, 2017 · And this year was full of scene-stealers—from rambunctious comedians like Tiffany Haddish, who has too much spirit to be sidelined, to hard-eyed dramatists like Barry Keoghan, who...

  4. Dec 23, 2008 · This week’s user-submitted Top 10 comes from Andrew Willis, who says that Scene-Stealers was partially responsible for his creating movierabble.com and having regular Top 5 lists. That, and a healthy dose of “High Fidelity,” no doubt.

  5. Feb 20, 2024 · Scene Stealers is Inverse’s end-of-year salute to the eccentric, to the bizarre, to the unforgettable supporting characters on TV who undeniably stole the show.
