Bomba on Panther Island is a 1949 American adventure film based on the Bomba series of juvenile adventure books. The film is directed by Ford Beebe and stars Johnny Sheffield. It is the second in the 12-film Bomba series following Bomba the Jungle Boy (1949).
Bomba sets off in pursuit of the panther, which attacks and kills a native sentry. Meanwhile, Canadian Rob Maitland, who plans to build a plantation in the jungle, complains to his native aide Eli that the crew he has hired to clear the foliage is unwilling to work.

The couple - via the auspices of local commissioner Charles Irwin - try to convince our tousled hero "Bomba" (Johnny Sheffield) to help out; but he is determined to track down a man-eating panther that has been terrorising the locals.
A man-eating black panther is on the loose & Bomba tries to track it down. He comes across brother & sister, Robert & Judy Maitland who are starting an agricultural farm. The local workmen are superstitious & think the Maitlands housemaid Losana has the spirit of a panther.
