THE GRASS IS GREENER is Cary Grant's 68th film and his third starring with Deborah Kerr, the others being DREAM WIFE in 1953 and AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER in 1957. Grant would be directed by Stanley Donen four times: KISS THEM FOR ME, 1957, INDISCREET in 1958, and CHARADE in 1963, plus THE GRASS IS GREENER, 1960.
A few previous reviewers seem to have viewed this film with a very weird set of expectations. In fact, 'The Grass is Greener' is exactly what it wants to be: a clever little drawing-room comedy. Slightly mannered, slightly stylized, very upper-crusty. And utterly delightful, on all counts. The cast is a dream come true.
