The doll woman's newer partner in crime, Harry Rote, who murdered her for self-dealing, presses Mike and Carlino into a scheme to recover the doll, which contains a fortune in smuggled heroin. After disposing of the body, the thugs return while Susy is present to continue their search.
After a flight back home, Sam Hendrix (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) returns with a doll he innocently acquired along the way. As it turns out, the doll is actually stuffed...

First time I saw Wait Until Dark was in 2007/08 with thousands of people. It played during a Bryant Park Movie Monday in Manhattan, and every square inch of the park was filled with people there to watch the movie. Great experience.
