The Man From The Alamo is a short, but action packed western. Budd Boetticher got good performances out of his cast which besides those mentioned include Julie Adams. Hugh O'Brian, Neville Brand, and Chill Wills who as we all know was in John Wayne's blockbuster film on the same subject.

Plot. During the siege at the Alamo, John Stroud (Glenn Ford) is chosen by lot to leave the fort and check on his family and warn other families of the mission's defenders of the impending arrival of General Santa Anna. But when everyone who stayed at the Alamo is wiped out by the Mexicans, Stroud is branded a coward.
Nov 24, 2023 · Glenn Ford is John Stroud, one of five men inside the Alamo with families in Ox Bow. When word comes that Santa Anna is harassing whites settlers in that area, the five men get together to draw lots. The man who draws the black bean must leave the Alamo to try to guide their families to safety.
