Jan 1, 1977 · i found the book "the five of me" to be a very interesting story. it tells of a man named henry hawksworth who had five personalities. mr. hawksworth, as i recall, was referred to as the male sybil. i first heard about henry during the late 1970s or 1980s. he was interviewed by the late tom snyder, who had a late night talk show on nbc at the time.

I pick up this book at a thrift store because multiple personalities have always intrigued me. This gives you a new insight to the disorder in a time when people didn't really understand it. I absolutely loved this book and learning what it's really like from a first person point of view to have multiple people in your head is very intuitive.

Overview. Henry Hawksworth is a man menaced by a multiple personality. There is Dana, the conservative family man; Johnny, violent and sociopathic; Peter, creative and childish; and Phil, protective and unemotional. "Dana" falls in love with Ann and marries her. Following a crime, "Johnny" is arrested and tried.
