Sakuran (さくらん, lit. "Derangement"), is a Japanese manga series by Moyoco Anno. The manga is about a girl who goes through different names throughout the story and becomes a tayū, or high ranking oiran (courtesan). North American publisher Vertical Inc published it in English in July 2012.

SAKURAN. The Yoshiwara pleasure quarter, where there is everything a man and a woman could wish. Amidst its numberless women of the night, and the highest-ranked courtesans, known as oiran, one in this teeming quarter is destined to become a legend.
Aug 20, 2001 · Sakuran: Blossoms Wild is a tale from the Edo Period of Japanese history. It focuses on the pleasure quarter, Yoshiwara, with our female protagonist named Kiyoha. As a child, Kiyoha was sold to a brothel, where she worked as a maid until she could rise to a prominent position of a courtesan.
In a world of courtesans and nameless men, she grows from an awkward, petulant child into Kyoha, one of the most prized Oiran in the entire district. But trouble arises when Kyoha falls in love with a handsome young man.
