Conor Jackson ★★★½. Though never explicitly mentioned, The Troubles are all over this film and Stephen Rea's descent into violent vigilante is communicated well. Across the pond, this would 100 percent be a Robert De Niro role and Neil Jordan intelligently takes after Martin Scorsese. 'Angel' is also visually strong.
