A summary of the plot of the fifth installment of the Terminator franchise, where Kyle Reese travels back in time to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor from a T-1000 sent by Skynet. He discovers a different timeline where Sarah has a reprogrammed T-800 as her protector and a new mission to stop Genisys, the operating system that will become Skynet.
