Truly a masterpiece given its relevance even in the present world. The star cast - Ajith, Mamooka, Tabu, Aish, Srividya, Abbas, Manivannan and others clicked together really well. Their chemistry, bonding and emotions were captured really well.
May 5, 2000 · Review. Simply superb! When I first saw this movie, I wondered how an Indian director managed to come up with such a simple and yet lovely story. Upon finding out that it is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, I was amazed at how Rajiv Menon had managed to make an English story so Indianized.

Dec 9, 2021 · Inspired by Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, Kandukondain Kandukondain is about two sisters, Sowmya and Meenakshi (Aishwarya Rai), who couldn't be more different from one another. Sowmya is realistic and even reticent in her pursuit of love while Meenakshi is fervent to the point of being delusional.
