  4. May 5, 2000 · Review. Simply superb! When I first saw this movie, I wondered how an Indian director managed to come up with such a simple and yet lovely story. Upon finding out that it is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, I was amazed at how Rajiv Menon had managed to make an English story so Indianized.
