Fernando eventually learns that Diane is a captive in the House of 1,000 Dolls, a brothel run by Felix Manderville and Rebecca, illusionists who use their magic act to drug and overpower young women for an international ring of white slavers. When Fernando attempts to rescue Diane, the brothel's manageress, Madame Viera, has him killed.
