The Beat (known in the United States and Canada as the English Beat and in Australia as the British Beat) are an English band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978. Their music fuses Latin, ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock.
This is the discography of British 2-tone/ska band the Beat (known as the English Beat in the US and Canada) and its subsequent incarnations as the Beat featuring Ranking Roger based in the UK, and the English Beat starring Dave Wakeling based in the US.

The fusion of Latin, pop, punk, reggae, ska, and soul is what made this rock group become such a popular act, While in the UK it was simply The Beat, in Canada and the U.S. they were referred to as The English Beat.
