When her addicted sister is hospitalized victim of drugs, the nurse Coffy (Pam Grier) seeks revenge and kills the drug dealer. Coffy returns to her normal life, spending her leisure time with her friend, the police officer Carter (William Elliott), and her boyfriend Howard Brunswick (Booker Bradshaw).
