The Baghdadi Museum (Arabic: المتحف البغدادي) is a local history museum and a tourist landmark located in and about the capital city of Baghdad, Iraq. It was established in 1940. The museum is situated near the River Tigris on Al-Rusafa district in one of the old buildings of the area that goes back to the year 1869.
This museum features the customs and traditions of Iraq in papier mâché type human and animal depictions in traditional garb depicting every day life around some typical utensils used. It’s a bit kitschy.

The National museum of Iraq is one of the most amazing places I have visited in this country, one that I keep coming back to at every chance. First, the museum is located at the center of Baghdad, in AL-Alawi area, which makes it so accessible by everyone and from all city directions.
