Collide is an American industrial music duo formed in Los Angeles in 1992, that has incorporated elements of trip hop, synthpop and music from the Middle East into their sound. [1] The name comes from the 'collision' of musical styles, primarily the ethereal vocals provided by kaRIN and the electronic music provided by Statik.
Although the band has hardly kept quiet in the interim with reissues and the “Are You Listening?” collaborative single, it had been four years since Statik and kaRIN had graced their audience with a full-length album of new Collide material.
The creative union became what is known as COLLIDE. The primary core of the Los Angeles based duo is Statik and kaRIN. Statik is responsible for the sound orchestrations and overall production. kaRIN takes care of the vocals and lyrics.
