I realized I've never really introduced myself on here so it felt like it was time I do that!\r 💜My name is Mickey Atkins, I'm from Tucson, AZ and I'm 25 years old! I'm a social worker and private practice psychotherapist but I also run a YouTube channel dedicated to spreading awareness and access to mental health services. I love my job and what I do but I'm obviously a person outside of that too. I thought it would be cool to show you guys the other part of my life, which is the pack of weirdos I live with.

I love this picture of me. 💕\r A year ago or even 6 months ago I would have NEVER said that publicly or even posted this picture. My understanding of self love growing up was that it was vain and conceited. It wasn't becoming of a lady to talk about herself too much.\r Soooo.... fuck that. 🖕\r I'm so happy that after 26 years of life I've figured out the self love thing a little bit. Self love is the vehicle through which we achieve peace, healthy relationships, and compassion for ourselves and others. It is not vain, conceited, extra, rude, embarrassing, or "unladylike" to love yourself.

I guess this is a hot take but I’m not changing my mind. We don’t do that here.\r You truly just can’t convince me that a “What I Eat in a Day” video is more helpful than it is harmful.
