Aku Orraca-Tetteh is a Dj, Producer and current Touring Member of Florence + The Machine.
Aku is a Multi-Instrumentalist, DJ, Producer, and a primary member of the band, Florence and the Machine. As a part of NYC nightlife, he spent 10 years honing his craft playing clubs all over downtown NYC liaising his talents from his band, Dragons of Zynth, into DJing events with a focus on the arts.

If you’ve ever seen Aku Orraca-Tetteh perform live—with his band Dragons of Zynth, Santigold, or any number of musicians he collaborates with—you’d probably never know he suffers from anxiety. Anxiety which is so powerful that sometimes he just sits and stares at his piano, unable to play.
Achieving success in the music business is an elusive prize, as most fledgling bands can attest. And that proverbial path to fame has been no different for Aku and Akwetey Orraca-Tetteh, 2002 graduates who went by the names James and John, respectively, during most of their time at Amherst.
