Thomas William Arnold Thacker (born April 11, 1974), nicknamed Brown Tom, is a Canadian musician. He is the lead guitarist, lead singer and co-founder of the punk rock group Gob, and guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist for Sum 41. Thacker formed Gob with Theo Goutzinakis in 1993.

Feb 29, 2020 · Tom Thacker was a star player for Covington Grant and Cincinnati, winning NCAA, NBA, and ABA titles. He also coached women's basketball at UC and was a civil rights pioneer.
Feb 18, 2022 · In 1974, he became head coach of Cincinnati Bearcats women's basketball, making him the second coach in program history and the first Black head coach ever at UC. Thacker amassed a 55-43 record and three winning seasons during his four years in Clifton. Thacker was inducted into the James P. Kelly UC Athletics Hall of Fame in 1981.
