Eugene "Buddy" Moss (January 16, 1914 – October 19, 1984) was an American blues musician. He is one of two influential Piedmont blues guitarists to record in the period between Blind Blake's final sessions in 1932 and Blind Boy Fuller's debut in 1935 (the other being Josh White).
BUDDY MOSS. Buddy Moss was at the heart of a group of gifted musicians that defined early Piedmont Blues. A harp player who became a leading exponent of fingerstyle guitar, Buddy's career was interrupted when he went to jail for murder but his greatest problem was his spiky character that made him extremely difficult to work with.

Essentially his career as a musician was over. Occasionally he would play for parties, and in the ‘60s and ‘70s he would sometimes appear at folk festivals, but he never again made a serious attempt to return to performing and recording.
