In 2007, long-standing drummer Lee Partis took a break to concentrate on his work as a psychotherapist, counselling in prisons. In August 2008, he confirmed he would be leaving the band permanently. The band then appointed Dilwyn Davies as replacement drummer.

Dec 8, 2008 · Drummer Lee Partis took a sabbatical to work as a counsellor in the British prison system. He has now decided to pursue his new career on a permanent basis and his last official engagement with Oysterband will be on the final date of their 30th anniversary tour at the London Forum, Kentish Town on December 12th 2008.
