The Lanes were originally the centre of the sleepy fishing village of Brighthelmstone. Today the series of twisting alleyways are home to antique stores, jewellers and designer boutiques. The square on East Street is a great spot for a delicious al fresco meal accompanied by some live jazz.

Dec 18, 2021. It's a shopping district with several small narrow alleyways and cobble stone paths where you navigate like a maze. A lot of independent shops and cafes.
