ABOUT THE ATTRACTION. The Russian Village District comprises 15 folk architecture style houses built during the Great Depression. The historic district was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 because of the unique nature of the folk architecture and the social and economic setting that allowed for these houses to be built.
