Albert Houston Roberts (July 4, 1868 – June 25, 1946) was an American politician, educator, and jurist. He served as the 33rd governor of Tennessee from 1919 to 1921, having previously served as a state court judge and as principal of the Alpine Institute .

Albert Houston Roberts (July 4, 1868 – June 25, 1946) was an American politician, educator, and jurist. He served as the 33rd governor of Tennessee from 1919 to 1921, having previously served as a state court judge and as principal of the Alpine Institute.
Roberts was governor of Tennessee from 1919-21 and served only one two-year term. Born July 4, 1868, just three years after the Civil War ended, in Overton County, Tennessee. The Roberts family left Tennessee to move to the hamlet of Columbus, Kansas, but Albert Roberts returned to the Volunteer State to attend Hiawassee College in Madisonville.
