Erik Hersholt Nielsen PC DFC QC (February 24, 1924 – September 4, 2008) was a Canadian lawyer and politician. He served as the longtime Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for Yukon, and was Leader of the Opposition and the third deputy prime minister.

Nielsen is best known for his recurring role as Garrett Lambert in the television comedy series Community from 2009 to 2015. His other acting credits include Bad Milo (2013) and the pilot episode of IFC's Maron. He also starred in Erik the Librarian, a web series created by Brent Forrester.

Erik Nielsen is a conductor equally at home in opera and in concert. A pianist since an early age, he later studied oboe and harp as a double major at The Juilliard School and conducting at the Curtis Institute of Music.
