Paul David Tonko (/ ˈ t ɒ ŋ k oʊ / TONK-oh; born June 18, 1949) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 20th congressional district since 2013. He represented the 21st congressional district from 2009 to 2013.
As a senior member on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce – and the Chairman of its subcommittee on the Environment and Climate Change – Paul continues to push for a clean energy economy that enhances public health and pioneers an emerging market for new jobs.
