Tito Lutwa Okello (1914 – 3 June 1996) was simultaneously a military officer and politician in Uganda, a not rare combination in that country. He was the eighth president of Uganda from 29 July 1985 until 26 January 1986.
Tito Okello Lutwa was a Ugandan soldier who led a coup against President Obote in 1985. He faced rebellions, economic crisis and a power struggle with the NRA/M, and was overthrown in 1986.
