Vasantha Senanayake (born 28 June 1973) is a Sri Lankan politician who was a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He belongs to the United National Party. He is a great-grandson of D. S. Senanayake (Sri Lanka's "Father of the Nation") and cousin of Ruwan Wijewardene.
The great grandson of Rt. Hon. D.S. Senanayake, Vasantha Naresh Parakrama Senanayake is a politician and member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, representing the United National Party. He was appointed as State Minister of Foreign Affairs on 31st May, 2017 and was the State Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management from 2015-2017.

Late last year Vasantha Senanayake, whom I had first met when we were new members of Parliament together way back in 2010, produced a book of poetry which was most unusual.
Vasantha Senanayake was appointed State Minister of Foreign Affairs in June 2017. Having entered Parliament in 2010 he was made the Deputy Minister of Wild Life and Sports in 2014 by the United National Party.
