His current term ends on January 3, 2025. Garcia (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 4th Congressional District.
Vision. The vision of the Office of U.S. Representative Jesús G. “Chuy” García is to serve all of the people of the 4th Congressional District of Illinois and improve community conditions through the pursuit of social, civic, racial, and economic justice for all rooted in progressive values.
Chuy García is a Mexican immigrant and a progressive leader who has served in various public offices in Chicago for almost 40 years. He is a member of the Financial Services, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Natural Resources Committees in Congress.
