This segment of Little Sugar Creek Greenway extends nearly 4 miles from Brandywine Road to 7th Street in Charlotte, connecting numerous attractions such as Freedom Park, the nature museum, Metropolitan shopping area and Central Piedmont Community College.
Little Sugar Creek Greenway is a linear park and stream restoration project in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. When completed it will consist of twenty miles of trails and paved walkways running from Cordelia Park just north of uptown Charlotte, then south through midtown Charlotte, and continuing all the way to the South Carolina state line.
Atrium Health is rebuilding an improved Little Sugar Creek Greenway from E. Morehead St to East Boulevard for the public as part of their renovations. The greenway project is one mile in length. It is being reconstructed along with a large interceptor sewer, changes to the Medical Center Drive alignment, and overall renovation of the Atrium campus.
