Bolesław II the Bold (Polish: Bolesław II Śmiały; c. 1042 – 2/3 April 1081 or 1082), also known as the Generous (Szczodry Polish ⓘ) was Duke of Poland from 1058 to 1076 and King of Poland from 1076 to 1079. He was the eldest son of Duke Casimir I the Restorer and Maria Dobroniega of Kiev.

According to Jan Długosz's 1480 chronicle, Bolesław II the Bold conducted an expedition to Kiev around 1076 or 1077, in order to install Prince Iziaslav I on the Kievan Rus' throne after the death of Sviatoslav II of Kiev.

Bolesław II the Bold, 1039–81. Polish prince of Cracow (1058–77) and king (1077–9). He was involved in the wars among the Kyivan princes and, as a supporter of Iziaslav Yaroslavych, made two campaigns into Ukraine (1069 and 1077).
