Ronald Lyle Clark, Jr. (born October 24, 1972) is an American educator and reality television personality. He has taught in North Carolina and New York City; later in life, he founded the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
Founder and Mathematics Teacher. Mr. Clark has been called “America’s Educator.” In 2000, he was named Disney’s American Teacher of the Year. He is a New York Times bestselling author whose book, The Essential 55, has sold over 1 million copies and has been published in 25 different countries.

On September 4, 2007, a high school marching band, drum line, and color guard joined us as we welcomed the inaugural class of the Ron Clark Academy. Sixty bright-eyed, beautiful children joined us in a magical celebration as they spun the Great Wheel, became “slide certified,” and discovered their house assignments.
The Ron Clark Academy is a nonprofit middle school & educator professional development facility that equips teachers with best practices that transform student learning experiences and promote academic and social success.
