The Inner West Light Rail is a 12.8-kilometre (8.0 mi) light rail line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, running from Central railway station through the Inner West to Dulwich Hill and serving 23 stops. It is the original line of the Sydney light rail network, and was originally known as Sydney Light Rail.

Jul 31, 2017 · The Inner west light rail extension opened on the 27th of March 2014. It added 5.6km and 12 new vehicles to the light rail network in Sydney. The extension runs along the former Rozelle freight rail corridor and takes in nine new stops between Lilyfield and Dulwich Hill.

The Sydney light rail program incorporates two light rail construction projects. The first was the Inner west light rail extension, which opened in March 2014 and now operates as part of the L1 Dulwich Hill Line. The second is the CBD and south east light rail, which is under construction.
