We are open every day 9am – 5pm. We recommend all non-members pre-book online, including babies, even if attending on a day when kids visit free. The Melbourne Zoo Team are undertaking maintenance works across the site. The following planned works may impact visitor paths and animal visibility.
Melbourne Zoo. Journey through a world of wildlife in the heart of Melbourne. Nestled within this urban oasis, over 320 species call Melbourne Zoo home! Stroll through the lush rainforests, where tigers roam and monkeys swing from tree to tree.
Animals and habitats. Discover the different trails of the Zoo and where to find your favourite animals. Scroll down to explore. All habitats are included with general admission and close at 4.30pm.
Melbourne Zoo. All members and visitors must pre-book a ticket online. You will not be able to book tickets at the gate. Over 300 species of animals can be found in the beautifully landscaped settings of Melbourne Zoo, just minutes from the central city.
