The sixth season of Cheers is an American television situation comedy set in a Boston bar called "Cheers". It originally aired on NBC in the United States between September 24, 1987 and May 7, 1988.
S6.E1 ∙ Home Is the Sailor. Thu, Sep 24, 1987. Things at Cheers have changed. Sam has sold the bar to a large corporation and with the proceeds of the sale, bought a boat and is sailing around the world. As employees, Woody and Carla are forced to wear corporate uniforms.
The classic Boston bar continues to thrive in Season 6 of hilarious episodes that find Sam Malone (Ted Danson) flat broke and back at Cheers (after selling the bar and buying a yacht that sank). Promptly, he clashes with the pub's new manager, Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley).
