In the fjords of a small Norwegian fishing village, a small boat manned by three drunken fishermen is attacked by what appears to be a giant sea monster. When Admiral Nelson hears of this, he is fascinated by it and takes the Seaview to Norway to investigate and interview the one survivor.
Captain Crane joins the crew of the Seaview and races to the North Pole to detonate a nuclear device in order to counteract the potentially deadly effects of massive tidal waves. While investigating the disappearance of research ships in the Aegean, the Seaview is damaged by a bomb.
