Nick grew up being second to his father’s job as counsel to New York’s wealthy Darling clan. On his father’s death, patriarch Tripp offers Nick his father’s job as family lawyer and protector of the Darlings' secrets. Nick wonders if this os the chance of a lifetime or a life sentence.
The filthy-rich Darling family asks idealistic attorney Nick George to become their personal lawyer, a job previously held by his late father, who died under mysterious circumstances.
