The main characters are voiced by Janet Varney, Seychelle Gabriel, David Faustino, P. J. Byrne, J. K. Simmons and Mindy Sterling, and supporting voice actors include Aubrey Plaza, John Michael Higgins, Kiernan Shipka, Lisa Edelstein, Steve Blum, Eva Marie Saint, Henry Rollins, Anne Heche, and Zelda Williams.
Main characters. Korra: The current Avatar and first Avatar of the Second Avatar Age. Tenzin: Korra's airbending teacher and first born son of Aang and Katara. Mako: A firebender from a multicultural family who grew up on the streets of Republic City. Bolin: Mako's younger brother who can earthbend.
The only characters from the original series to be featured in both shows are Iroh, Katara, Toph, and Zuko. However, Aang and Sokka can be seen in flashbacks. The first two episodes were released online on March 24–25, 2012 and were available in high-definition for free on iTunes.
