The Škorpion ("Scorpio") is a compact Czech submachine gun/machine pistol manufactured by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod and used by law enforcement agencies and military forces since the 1960s. Originally created by Miroslav Rybář in 1959 as the Š-59, it was adopted in 1961 as the Samopal vzor 61, and launched into mass production in 1963.
