Suzuka is a sports-themed romance comedy that intertwines the pursuit of love and athletics. The story is based around Yamato Akitsuki, a young man from rural Hiroshima Prefecture moving to the big city of Tokyo, and his new next-door neighbor, Suzuka Asahina, a skilled high jumper.

The Honda-owned race course at Suzuka (鈴鹿国際レーシングコース) has emerged as one of the world's most demanding and rewarding motor racing circuits, packing a mix of almost every type of corner into a remarkably small space.
Despite most people agreeing that Suzuka is a worthy successor to sliced bread in the ‘Best Thing’ stakes, the Japanese track was a relative latecomer to the F1 calendar, making its first appearance in 1987.
Suzuka Circuit (鈴鹿サーキット) is a race circuit in Mie Prefecture, 50 kilometers south of Nagoya, and one of the two venues, which staged the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix in recent years.
